Dr. Sandra Daniel, PT, DPT, OCS
“Specializing in spinal mechanics to optimize movement patterns, with expertise in treating hypermobility syndromes, headaches, and complex cases involving the sacroiliac joint, spine, and TMJ. Dr. Sandra is affectionately known as ‘The Spine Whisperer’ and ‘Dr. Cold Fingers’ by some of her patients.”
Dr. Sandra Daniel has been a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist in San Diego since 2000, holding professional licenses in both California and New York. Her passion for physical therapy was inspired by her mother’s diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and her lifelong involvement in athletics and the performing arts. She actively participated in speed skating, ice dancing, gymnastics, basketball, and soccer. With extensive experience working with athletes of all levels—including professional ballerinas, collegiate athletes, and weekend warriors—Sandra helps her patients achieve optimal movement and recovery.
Sandra founded PhysioFixx to provide the community with a personalized physical therapy experience and superior results. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree through Evidence in Motion and her bachelor’s in physical therapy from Daemen University in Buffalo NY. Sandra also holds a Specialist Certification in Orthopedics (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy.
As a movement specialist, Sandra combines manual therapy techniques with targeted exercises to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance performance. She has a particular passion for working with dancers and golfers, tailoring her approach to improve flexibility, alignment, and movement mechanics for each sport.
When she’s not working, Sandra enjoys soaking up the San Diego sunshine hiking with her husband and dogs or paddleboarding, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
“I believe in the importance of a solid foundation and a balanced spine to optimize movement without injury. If the spine is not balanced when your feet hit the ground dysfunction will occur, resulting in pain.”
